An article published by State Impact delivers this disappointing news: Texas “ranks 13th in the nation for total solar power generation, behind such often gloomy places as New Jersey (#2) and New York (#11)…” The report goes on to argue the value of increasing our solar generation in future years.

One important factor for consumers is that, as the Dallas Morning News points out, renewable energy production “not only helps the environment, it’s driving down electricity prices.”
